It’s a catch 22 isn’t it…? You’ve got bad credit, but you are in desperate need to get yourself an unsecured credit card.

Chances are if you are looking to get an unsecured credit card for bad credit, then you want to rebuild your credit rating. For those of you reading this article that is just looking to take a ride of the system, get off… now. This system is designed for people who are genuinely looking to rebuild their bad credit, who is at the bottom of their luck, and trying to crawl their way out from a bad credit rating.

It used to be that in the old days, this would have been virtually impossible. Not only was your credit rating viewed as the main thing for how much the bank would lend you, it was the ONLY thing that they looked at.

The good news is that those days are over. Gone are the days of the wicked bank manager who would inevitably put the “DENIED” stamp on your credit card application. Gone are the days of hard money.

Today is the day of easy money.

A little too easy sometimes…

But that’s not our problem. The banks are literally throwing money to anyone and everyone at the moment because they want to get the economy going; they want to drive business, to drive spending so that they can get their interest rates up to a more respectable level.

So where do you find an unsecured credit card for bad credit?

Well, there are a number of companies that offer unsecured credit cards for bad credit people, but in our opinion, the top company that offers an unsecured credit card would have to be the Orchard Bank. They aren’t a huge institution like some of the other banks out there (which is usually where you will find these great credit cards), but they are an excellent institution with a full range of credit cards. The best part about them though, is that they offer an unsecured credit card for those of us who want to rebuild our credit rating.

A word of caution:

As a word of warning, before you go through with doing something like this, just be aware that you are going to be paying a premium on your interest rate. Expect to add as much as 60% (or more) to the interest rate that you pay. Don’t bother trying to fight this, the institutions offer this type of card, at this rate, because there are a lot of people who will take the system for a ride, and run with the money. It’s a risky business, and we have to be thankful that there are places like Orchard Bank that offer this service.
